The Cover Up is a live music series that gathers some great Boston musicians to play together for one night and pay homage to their favorite artists.
These are not "cover" or "tribute" bands, they are fans like you and me, only they actually can play the songs and do them justice. Above all, they can have fun doing it and so does the audience. And that's the point...
This month's installment was the music of Neil Young, from the heartbreaking acoustic "Needle and the Damage Done" to the electric "Rockin' in the Free World".
Brendan Boogie,The Blizzard of '78, Casavettes, Mike Verge, Guilded Splinters, Sodafrog and lots of other special, spontaneous guests paid homage to one of rock's greats in a fun and memorable night.
