New Year's Eve 2013

There are some great shows happening around town on and around New Year's Eve. The Deer Tick show at The Sinclair should be a blast. It's sold out, so hopefully you have tickets already...



First Night Boston presents The Magnetic Fields at Symphony Hall (Tanya Donelly opens) and Lee Fields and The Expressions at Jordan Hall (Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents open). Other performers include Cuffs, Cass McCombs, Emily Elbert, Major Stars and Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys.

Girls Guns and Glory play their 3rd annual Hank Williams Honky Tonk at Lizard Lounge on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day (eve). Special guests Miss Tess and The Talkbacks open.

If you want to get a jump on the holiday, The Might Mighty Bosstones "Hometown Throwdown" is happening Sat, Sun and Mon at House of Blues. A great pre-holiday double-bill is The Hold Steady and Lucero at Royale on Sun, Dec 30.
