The Lemonheads Do Ray, The Pixies Doolittle

Two of Boston's best bands will be doing their best albums in their entirety live, so you may want to get your tickets soon.

Both albums are considered to be among the greatest of all time. According to Best Ever Albums, "Doolittle" is ranked at 21 and "Ray" at 881. One could argue about the order, but both would be in my Top 100 albums of all-time and Ray would be higher on my list.

The Lemonheads will be doing "It's a Shame About Ray" (1992) at Paradise on Oct 12 and Pearl Street in Northampton on Oct 15.

The Pixies have done their album "Doolittle" (1989) in major cities, but are bringing it The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Oct 30 and the State Theatre in Portland, ME on Nov 1 as part of their Lost Cities tour.
